General Description:

• Sprinkler Coverage:
  • Provide sprinkler coverage below new suspended and hard lid ceilings as per the provided plans and specifications.
  • Existing upright sprinkler coverage will remain unchanged.

Specific Requirements:

• Head Spacing:
  • Sprinkler heads will be spaced for light hazard occupancies for “Group 1-2”.
• Demolition:
  • Perform demolition of existing drops as required.
• Plans and Verification:
  • Includes FPE (Fire Protection Engineering) and NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) verified plans.
• Installation Specifics:
  • Fire sprinkler heads installed under T-Bar ceilings must be centered in the tile.
  • All new fire sprinklers to be quick response type as per NFPA 13 (2019 edition).
• Piping:
  • All added or relocated piping must comply with local standards, NFPA 13 (2016 edition), and the City of Los Angeles Building and Safety regulations.

Services Provided:

• Design-Build Engineering:
  • Design-Build Engineering services will be provided as part of the contract.
• Materials and Labor:
  • Work includes all necessary materials, labor, plans, shop drawings, plan submittal, and both rough and final inspections.
